8.47 Love Out of This World

(continued)

“So, Parker…I have to know….Was it just my eyes, or do you really glow?”

“You weren’t seeing things. I glow! We glow certain colors when we’re feeling emotions, but not even the disguise can hide it. It’s really no different from the way Sims emote.”

“How do you mean?”

“You have a plumbob above your head that glows certain colors based on your needs. You Sims can’t see it, but we can.”

“Really?! What color is mine right now?”

“Bright green. You’re very happy, and all your needs are met.”

“This is so cool!”

“I’m glad you think so. I was really afraid that you wouldn’t understand.”

“Parker…will you let me see you…as you really are?”

“You want me to take the disguise off?”

“I want to see who I’m going to be spending the rest of my life with.”

“But…what if you don’t like the way I look?”

“Parker! We’re getting married. If you can’t trust me, then who are you going to trust?”

“You’re right. You’re right.”

She took his hand, and he led her to his bedroom. He took a seat in the chair by his bed as she went through her transformation. When the disguise was off, he stood up to get a closer look at her.

“Parker,” he said and took her hands, “I still think you’re beautiful!”

“You do?”

“I do. I’m going to kiss your lips. Your real lips.

“…there’s that frisky, pink glow again,” he teased.

“I can’t help that you’re irresistible.”

“Let’s get married.”

“Now?”

“Sure! I have a big family now, but I only really need my dad and my sister. We can do it in the backyard.”

“Would you mind if I put the disguise back on?”

“You wear your disguise as often or as little as you need to. I’m not ashamed of you.”

“You’re too much, Ryan.”

Ryan and Parker went downstairs to make their announcement known to the rest of the house. After the congratulations were over, everyone put on their elegant wear and went outside for a very sweet, simple, and short ceremony.
