9.14 Fire Breathing Dragons

Julian and Jeannette were relaxing by the pool one night discussing a very important matter when a little somebody decided to join them.

“…so…what are we going to do about, ummm, the…dragon,” Jeannette asked.

Julian sighed. “I don’t know much about dragons. Do we know any dragon tamers?”

Jeannette smiled and shook her head. “Come on, Julian. We can’t dump our problems on someone else. We have to learn how to tame our own dragons. Especially the fire-breathing one.”

“We have tons of money. Can’t we just send it away to some dragon reform school or something,” he asked facetiously.

“Julian…”

“I’m kidding. Should we ask my mom for advice? I mean, she had lots of dragons, but no fire-breathing ones.”

“True, but she has more taming experience than we do. It couldn’t hurt. Besides, I remember she had this one special dragon…”

“Special, you say,” he asked with an eyebrow raised.

“Yeah…special needs.” She laughed hysterically. “It was blind in one eye and couldn’t see out of the other!”

“Hardy har har har! You laugh, but you were madly in love with that dragon! See, Janessa…your mommy isn’t wrapped too tight either. She was in love with a dippy dragon!”

“Hee hee hee, you’re funny, daddy!”
