To me, this chapter is all about the facial expressions, so that may give you something to think about as you’re writing. Here is how I think this story should begin:
“Good morning, dear brother! I thought I’d find you out here.”
“Hey, Callie.”
[something like “I’m not usually one to say ‘I told you so,’ but…I told you so!” OR, “How’s life? Isn’t it wonderful to have someone who really loves you?” OR, something else that involves a small level of gloating on Callie’s part about Julian being so happy with Jeannette after she had been trying to tell him about his feelings]
